Ms Nomathamsanqa “Tamtam” Gobozi-Nibe is the new Head of Department effective from, 01 September 2025.

Ms Gobozi-Nibe previously held the position of General Manager for Cultural Affairs for 5years. She has been committed to advancing inclusive cultural and developmental programmes across the Eastern Cape.

With a career in public service spanning over two decades, she has held senior roles in cultural affairs, rural development, gender mainstreaming, and policy formulation. She has worked in the developmental arena all her professional life as a Fieldworker, Researcher and Manager and she is passionate about positive contribution to good and clean governance.

She holds an Honours degree in Psychology and a Higher Diploma in Education from the University of Fort Hare, with extensive postgraduate training in leadership, governance, and development.
