The purpose of dialogue is to create a common platform for diverse communities to deliberate on and find solutions to challenges confronting social cohesion and national identity.

The dialogue will deliberate around the issues of Gender Base Violence and Femicide (GBVF) and Circumcision. Amongst the dignitaries that will present at the dialogue is Prof Z Matebeni from the University of Forte and Ms. Siphokazi Mpofu from Izibazana Women Association.

The Eastern Cape Provincial Government is entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating Nation Building and Social Cohesion and of creating a conducive environment for hosting Social Cohesion initiatives. These initiatives seek to achieve Nation Building, Social Cohesion, Spiritual and Material Upliftment and Restoration of Human Dignity.

This years’ Provincial Summit takes place over a period of two decades since attainment of democratic dispensation. It is therefore important that we reflect, time and again, to take stock of what has been achieved or to determine what strides have been made since we attained freedom.
