The Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture (DSRAC) in partnership with Multichoice, SuperSport, Nelson Mandela Bay and Buffalo City Municipality has organised Public Viewing Areas (PVAs) for the public to watch the World Cup Final on Saturday, 02 November 2019   

The PVA's will be in Tsholomnqa, Buffalo City Metro and Zwide Stadium, Nelson Mandela Bay Metro where some of the Springbok players come from. The Premier of the Eastern Cape Honourable Oscar Mabuyane will attend and watch the game in Tsholomnqa while DSRAC MEC Fezeka Bayeni will be watching the game at Zwide Stadium. 

The announcement was pronounced by DSRAC MEC Fezeka Bayeni congratulating the National Rugby Team, Springboks upon their win against Wales on Sunday, 27 October 2019.  

"This win represents the strength of character within the team. We are further elated by the sterling performance of the three players, Siyamthanda Kolisi, Lukhanyo Am and Makazole Mampimpi, who are originally from the Eastern Cape"

"Makazole Mapimpi has in a dozen Test outings, scored 13 tries, pouncing for five tries in his four matches at the World Cup. Lukhanyo Am scored an impressive 10 points with 24 runs. Siyamthanda Kolisi a Zwide born rugby captain who is a typical South Africa hero, has defiled all odds and now stands at a cusp of leading the Springboks to World Rugby glory. Siya leads the Bokke to what could easily be a defining moment for him and the team".


"We wish them well in the final of the Rugby World Cup against England and calling all South Africans, particularly in the Eastern Cape to unite behind our national team and join us in these PVA's to watch."


The PVA's will be in the following areas.
